Scrapbooking Revisited

I'm afraid to admit how long it has been since I completed my own scrapbook page.  I used to do tons of scrapbooking, and then I sort of set it all aside until recently.   This is the scrapbook layout I put together for the Close To My Heart Convention layout contest.   The requirements were that it had "Make It From Your Heart" in the title and used current products in unique ways.

Finishing this layout sparked me to get back into doing full scrapbook layouts (instead of just cards and mini albums) again, so I'm off and running!

My spin on the title was around making decisions.  When we fell in love with the idea of a French Bulldog puppy, it certainly wasn't thanks to logic.  It was an emotional decision, and yet a wonderful one.  We love our little Olivia so much!

I took the opportunity to use a large variety of products in some unique ways.  I used a bunch of pre-printed Picture My Life cards and cut them up as embellishments.  I also used a frame page from the Hip Pics Album and attached it with washi tape (upper right) so it flips up and there are more photos and journaling behind it!   My favorite accent was making paw prints out of sequins.
